The IAYT have established an international standard for yoga therapy and I have had to demonstrate a high level of experience, skill and knowledge to be accredited by the association. This is in recognition of my experience and knowledge, practicising yoga therapy over the last 10 years.
Yoga Therapy provides you with a yoga sequence to practice at home regularly to promote a healthier way of life through a series of personal one to one sessions. It is practised by yoga teachers with specialised training and experience in the therapeutic adaptation and application of yoga, and is regulated by the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).
Yoga therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with health problems. It can aid in the alleviation of conditions such as low back pain, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD, diabetes, digestive problems, cancer((coping with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, rehabilitation from surgery, and reducing anxiety), MS, Chronic Fatigue, depression, stress and anxiety. Yoga Therapy is regulated by the CNHC – The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and John is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
